Student Success & Engagement (SSE) Technical Consultation - Project Discovery*

Due to overwhelming demand, please anticipate a delay of 12 weeks in scheduling this 1:1 consultation.

Are you considering undergoing a technical project to meet specific goals but could use assistance identifying the scope and feasibility of taking on such a project? 

Description: The purpose of the project discovery is to evaluate your goals and explore how a technical project may help meet your needs. During this meeting the Technical Consultant will uncover the scope and effort required to accomplish the project. Discovery is particularly useful for large projects. Example Projects that require discovery prior to initiation:

• • Connect Method conversion (CSV to Views or vice versa)
  • Consultation to support you when you convert your system from Informer 4 to Informer 5
    • -Compare results of your data and help you identify what is different
  • SIS Conversion (migrating to the cloud) consultation and support

Note: Technical consultation required for changes to or inclusion of additional data feeds due to initiation of new functionality is already included in Functionality Consultation & Configuration projects along with functionality training.

Service Provided: A Technical Consultant will hold a 1-hour discovery meeting to help uncover the scope and feasibility of technical projects you are considering. No actual work will be done as part of this request. The Technical Consultant will however, convey their findings to your CSM who will follow up with a statement of work which will include: 

• • Scope statement
  • Risk assessment
  • WM Technical Consultant hours allocated
  • Institutional technical resource requirements

Once the statement of work is agreed upon, your CSM will follow-up with an opportunity based on the scope and effort needed for the project. 

Target Audience: At least one Administrator and the institution's IT representative(s) that will be completing or partnering to complete the work.

Number of Participants: Up to 6 combined Administrators and IT Reps

Method: Remote. All session(s) are recorded so you will have access to the recording(s) to use as a reference and to share them with your campus team.
